Vino Nobile Montepulciano 2003 - Tuscany

Produced using Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo and Mammolo grapes. This wine is ruby red with light garnet tints. Has a typical, classical Tuscan fragrances including notes of cherries in alcohol, with final touches of leather and tobacco. Tannins are dense but not heavy, the taste is full-bodied, fills the whole mouth and slightly excitable. Vinification using controlled-temperature fermentation and maceration, lasting between 15-20 days, after being drawn from the vats, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats at approx 28-30C. Aged for 2 years in Slavonian oak barrels then bottle aging for 6 months. Can age for up to 10 years.
Best served with all roast meats, game, stew and complex cheeses.
